Fighting the Good Fight

2 Timothy 3:14-15

“ But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

In my own life there have been times that I have wanted to give up on everything. The simple fact that I know I am saved and I want to honor God has kept me from it. These verses have really been a blessing to me. I was pretty much raised in church, and sometimes I just need to stop and think of the things I was taught as a child. It has encouraged me so much recently to think of all the godly influences God placed in my life as a child, and the impact they have made in my life. Never underestimate the power you may have on someone's life by just being there for them. I know from working with children a lot, and in my own life, there is sometimes just one person that, for some reason, can get through to somebody. Let God use you! Never give up in your christian life!!!

Memorial Day

Thank you to all of our past and present military who sacrifice so much so that we can be free.



It has always been the soldier

Who has gave the sacrifice

Standing strong and crowned in battle

Willing to lay down his life.

Somewhere there's a soldier who is looking at a picture of his little girl

How he wishes he were home!

And somewhere there's a soldier who is reading a love letter from his wife, and she is telling him how she feels so all alone,
And somewhere there's a Mom and Dad who cry late in the night, for a son who won't be coming home, a son who gave his life. FREEDOM ISN'T FREE!!!

To the angry man who shakes his fist, and burns the Stars and Stripes,

That same flag that drapes the coffins of those who gave there life's

There's no other place that you would go, or have ever been

where the blood of soldiers gives the right to burn the flag again.

This last week I had the opportnity to play in an alumni volleyball game with the school I graduated from. It was an amazing blessing to me to see some of my friends I haven't seen for a long time.

Our old jersey numbers and last names were on our jersey, which was super cool!

The team. We did end up losing (which we still can't figure out why), but we had a wonderful time.

I am so thankful for the amazing christian friends God has blessed me with!

Mmmmm......Cupcakes

The cutest cupcakes ever! It took me quite a few hours to make them, but finally they are done. Now I want to make some different ones tomorrow. Although I think I will have to wait.

I even did some diving.... bottoms up ducks.

God is so good

I am still here, sorry it has been so long since my last post. I will start with the most exciting news first. I am finally finished with bible college!!!! I took my last test Tuesday. It is the most wonderful feeling ever to fianlly be done with it!!! Yesterday, I attended a funeral for my wonderful friend's little sister, Grace. Please pray for their family. It was great to see everyone again, but was one of the hardest things I have had to go to in a while.

Today I am going to be making the cutest duck cupcakes ever!!! I will post pictures of them later.

I really am not a lover of tests!!! Tuesday I had a New Testament final for bible college. It was in a way exciting though, I only have one more final and I will graduate. In 2 weeks I will take my last test. YAY!!!! Anyways, I had the opportunity of studying with my friend, at McDonalds.

On my way home Wednesday, we went a different route. It was beautiful so, of course, I had to get some pictures.

God's creation is so amazing to me. New Mexico is also so diverse. I love all the trees and green that you would think wouldn't be here, but if you drive long enough you will find it.
