I have been cooking/baking like crazy lately. Today was our potluck at church so I made chicken parmesean and an Apple Cranberry crisp. Yesterday, while I was deciding what to make, my dad decided he wanted me to make some pizza. His pizza is the boring usual cheese and pepperoni...yeah major blah. I made a special one for my mom and I. First of all I have an absolute love affair with anything Greek, especially feta cheese. My delicious creation was spinach, roma tomatoes, lots of feta cheese, white onions, and my special homemade pizza sauce. It was the most delicious pizza ever, not traditional but amazing!

Skeet Shooting
I have found a new love, skeet shooting!!! Seriously, It could become my new passion, loved it more than my sewing I think. I always have been into shooting pistols and stuff, never really shotguns. Yesterday, after our evening service, some friends of ours took my brother and I out to their ranch. We had a super wonderful time!!! We had our own little skeet shooting competition. On the first round I was the 3rd one eliminated, Bro. Cody won that round. Then the second round I was battling it out with my brother. I was starting to get a bruise on my shoulder, but I couldn't give up and let him win! Anyways, I did end up losing, but only after about 25 minutes of fighting for it.
The boys have some adorable bottle calves they are taking care of right now. They act like the boys are their mommies. One of the calves will even follow one of the boys around wherever he goes. They are absolutely the cutest!!!

Answered Prayer
This last Friday a huge prayer of mine was answered. God provided a job for me!!! I started working Friday as a subtitute teacher for a public school in Texas. I absolutely love it!!! Rural kids are the sweetest!!! I have gotten to hear all sorts of stories about their horses, dogs, and even one kid's pig. I was starting to get discouraged because I couldn't find a job. This has encouraged me more to never give up, God has a plan. In His perfect timing He will provide!
{like I have said before, every good post needs a picture!!!}

Football Game
Clayton Yellowjackets vs. Lubbock's Roosevelt eagles
Some of our church kids are on the football team and/ or in the band so, we go to their games. High school sports are always super fun to watch, I really enjoy it!!! It makes me wish I was in high school again, not really. Anways, during half time they honored all the military which was really amazing, I loved that part!!! Here are some pictures and videos from the wonderful evening (since every good and interesting blog post has to have pictures).
THANK YOU!!!!
CHS is wearing the black and orange. Yes, I looked like a jack-o-lantern also and wore black and orange.

*Rainbow in a Jar*
Finally, some cooler weather so I can bake fun things again!!! I made these adorable little rainbow cakes in canning jars. They are just plain white cake that I tinted different colors with neon food coloring. The different colors swirl through the middle when they bake also. They are a great kid dessert, I know my church kids will love them!
Before I baked them, yes I know, it looks like playdough.
The colors are layered from the bottom up: purple, blue, green, yellow, & pink.
Bake them in a shallow stoneware baking dish with about 1/4 inch of water in the bottom.

Viola!!!!
After they cooled, I frosted them and put rainbow sprinkles on the top.
Before you frost them, you will have to scoop out some of the cake to make room for the frosting and still put the lid on top.
Perfect for a rainy day, like today!

Hayden Ranch Rodeo
Ranch rodeos are the best. People who aren't professionals and travel all over, but ranchers who do it every day as a means to earn a living. Today was the Labor Day ranch rodeo in Hayden. It was so much fun!!!
